Layer Ratio Control PDF Print E-mail
PRODUCTS - Control Systems

The TSM Co-Extrusion Control system monitors and regulates accurately blending and layer thickness ratios for up to 5 layers. This new system, recently developed by TSM, can also provide optional centralized control with prioritizing of up to 40 vacuum loaders and 5 individual vacuum pumps.

Features & Benefit

  • All blenders can be ramped up simultaneously maintaining correct setpoint layer ratios.
  • Overview of the entire production process
  • Ability to monitor and adjust individual lines parameters
  • Centralized individual blender recipe entry and extrusion control co-ordination
  • No need to consolidate reports from diverse information sources
  • Provides centralized display of production process and measured parameters
  • Allows operator to download individual recipes to up to 5 gravimetric blenders.
  • Displays shift, roll, alarm, order and material inventory reports for overall production and logs alarms for individual layers
  • Allows control and monitoring of any centralized vacuum system up to 40 receivers
  • Can increase/ decrease complete line/ individual layer simultaneously via arrow display buttons.
  • Removes the requirement for individual remote display(s) on each blender

Production Reporting

The CP2000 displays a comprehensive overview of each blender's performance. The total throughput for the line is displayed, as are the individual layer throughputs, line speed, blender Auto / Manual status and alarms summary.

Blender Summary by Layer

This screen displays summary details also for individual blenders. It shows the current recipe setpoints and actual values of each component being blended on that layer / extruder. It also displays the total throughput, weight per length and linespeed. Sub-menus for more information on any blender are available at the bottom of the screen.  Operational information such as the status of the individual fill valves and diagnostic data is also displayed

Alarm History

The alarm report displays a list of all histories and current alarms and the time at which they occurred and were cleared.  An additional alarm history log (which cannot be cleared by the operator) can also be viewed.

Vacuum Loading

This screen shows the operational status of the vacuum loaders configured on the system. Also shown is the status of the pump (up to 5) filters and atmosphere valves.  Priority level?s, fill times etc. for each loader (up to 50) can can be set via the CP2000 panel.
